Why the barn?
Our little barn was the village post office for 40 years as well as a laundrette. Prior to that it served as the cellar for the pub across the road and a grain store before that. Having been lovingly renovated in 2025 life is looking a little more glamorous, if not quite so communal, for this 200 year old Cornish building. It now combines modern living with much of it's original character still in tact and is the ideal bolthole in a wonderful location.

ABOUT US
We love Cornwall, as so many do. Having travelled extensively, lived abroad, brought up our girls in Oxfordshire, this little part of Cornwall has always remained one of our favourite places to escape to. We are now chuffed to bits to have rescued a beautiful old building which some, more sensible types, may have knocked down! It has so much history behind it and now happy bolthole days ahead of it!
THE SPACE
Open plan, light and airy converted stone barn with wooden floors and exposed beams in the vaulted ceiling. Cosy living space with wifi and comfortable sofa (Sofa.com sofa bed). Great views down into the village.
Fully equipped small kitchen with Freestanding Induction Hob Electric Cooker, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and essential items and utensils for cooking.
King bed and freestanding cupboard.
Bathroom walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Organic products supplied.

Washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer downstairs in storeroom.

THINGS TO NOTE
No TV and we would prefer bath towels, beach towels and bed linen to brought by visitors. No curtains currently!
No allocated parking at the property but you can usually get a spot outside the barn or, at worst, over the road at the Perceval Institute.
